I'm just curious what sort of qualifications are available out there in the world beyond my computer desk.
I only know of one course in the UK and as far as i know it isn't really the osrt of qual you can put on your CV.
What do you guys in the US have?
This seems to come up every now and again but it usually drifts off into other things. I am hoping that as this forum seems to be pretty good at sticking to the thread it will stay on track with this one.

When I was an undergraduate, I took Herpetology. I also took a course that was a special offering called "Diversity, Ecology, and Conservation of Turtles"--that class was pretty awesome! There was also a vertebrate zoology course that was offered that definitely hit the herps as well...

Right now I'm working on my Master's in Biology, and my research is focused on reptiles and amphibians. In the US, if you want to learn herps, you have to go to grad school. I was lucky enough to come from a college with a couple herp classes, but that is a rarity. However, there are a few schools, U of Florida being one, that have GREAT herpetology programs.

Hope this offers some insight...
